Get a technician out
Tell us what the door is doing and which town you are in. Somebody answers at any hour, and a technician rings back to arrange a time — the same day when the door will not open or close.
By phone, any hour
The phone is answered through the night and at weekends. Have these ready and the call takes two minutes: what you heard when it failed, what the door is doing now, whether a car is shut in, whether the door is stuck open, and the town you are in. If you can glance at the bar above the opening and tell us whether there is a visible gap in the spring, that alone often decides what goes on the truck.
By form
The form on this page reaches the same place. Use it for anything that is not urgent — a tune-up before winter, a price on a new door, a second opinion on a quote somebody else gave you. For a door that will not open or close, ring instead; it is faster.
By email
hello@kcgaragedoortech.com for quotes, written estimates, landlord and letting-agent authorisations, and anything that needs a paper trail. Attach photographs if you have them — a shot of the spring above the door and one of the label on the opener answers most of what we would otherwise have to ask.
What happens next
You get a callback to agree a time. The technician arrives, inspects the whole door rather than the one part you mentioned, and gives you a price before starting. You approve it or you do not; if you do not, you pay the diagnostic charge and nothing else. Most repairs are finished in that visit.
Where we come to
Kansas City, Kansas and across Wyandotte County; Overland Park, Olathe, Lenexa, Shawnee, Merriam, Prairie Village and Leawood in Johnson County; Bonner Springs, Lansing and Leavenworth. The Kansas side only. Full list on the service area page.
A note on what we are
We are a mobile service. There is no showroom and no counter to walk into — the truck comes to your driveway, which is where a garage door has to be looked at anyway. Post reaches us by email rather than at a trade address.
