Accessibility
The standard this site is built to, the specific measures in place, and the route for reporting a page that does not work for you.
The standard applied
This site targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at level AA. Testing is carried out with keyboard navigation alone, with a screen reader, at mobile and desktop widths, and with automated checks, each time the site is rebuilt. Level AA is the benchmark because it is what public bodies and most large organisations in the United States work to, which makes it a meaningful rather than arbitrary target.
Measures in place
Every page is built from semantic HTML with one heading hierarchy, a skip link to the main content, and landmark regions for the header, navigation, main area and footer. Navigation and form controls operate from the keyboard with a visible focus indicator at every stop. Text and background colours meet the AA contrast ratio, text reflows at 200 per cent zoom without loss of content, and no element flashes or moves in a way that cannot be stopped. Animation is suppressed where the device requests reduced motion. Images carry written descriptions, form fields carry associated labels, and no field imposes a time limit. Tables used for price ranges carry header cells so a screen reader announces each figure with the job it belongs to.
The telephone route exists independently of all of this. Anything achievable on this site — describing a fault, requesting a visit, asking a price, raising a concern — is achievable by calling (913) 347-4187 at any hour, and no part of obtaining a technician requires using the website.
Reporting a problem
Where a page or control does not work with your device or assistive software, write to hello@kcgaragedoortech.com or call (913) 347-4187. Identify the page address and describe what happened. Reports are acknowledged within two business days and fixed where the fix is within our control; where it is not, you will be told what the obstacle is and given a direct route to the same information.
One known limitation: photographs of garage door components show conditions that a short alternative text cannot fully convey. The description covers what the image is there to demonstrate. Telephone for a fuller explanation of anything a photograph is meant to show.
